thirteen good mums

We took fifty cows away from their calves (weaning time) and put them over the road. They weren't keen to leave their babies behind even though I kept telling them another one would arrive in a three or so months time and this was "me time" for them. Next morning eight had gone back to the calves in the high security section of the yards - they had got through the fence into Barbics' then pushed at a gate until the chain gave way. The gate was repaired with wire. This morning there were only fourteen (14) cows left over the road - they must be the dozy ones. Waiting at the wired up gate were thirteen good cows and the remainder either at the yards or somewhere in Barbics just eating and having "me time".
