celestial cheeriness

The crescent moon is smiling, Venus is the left eye, Jupiter the right. This cosmic alignment will not happen again until early in the morning 21 July, 2036 when it may be cloudy so I wish I had managed a better photo. Or I may not be allowed out at night, or have a camera.

The photo below has been tinkered with a bit showing trees and more stars but the moon now looks round.

It was cloudy in Canmore.

This was taken by someone over in Western Australia though, and is quite nice. The moon and star-like things are hard to photograph together.
