garden colour

The roses are struggling to produce a flower but the vegetables are doing well in the cooler late summer weather. Capsicums smell and look lovely - I gave these away to my walking buddies though, there are lots more ripening.
Below: Capsicums and beans - we ate the beans.

Here in the northeast U.S.A., we are having a cool spring. Morning temps in the middle 20s (that's Farenheit. We're glad to be shut of the snowbanks. Your capsicum photos are gorgeous! Remind me of Edward Weston famous black and whites. (We just call them red peppers here.).My sister is starting seedling in hopes to plant a garden of sorts that our resident woodchucks and deer can't destroy.

Our vegie garden chicken netting fence was the first thing before the planting - didn't want the rabbits and hares to be waiting for the green stuff to appear. Frosts happen here most winters but fortunately no snow as we are about 300 ft above sea level and your mid 20s F would be about as cold as we ever get.
